Mission
My goal is to continue to lead the highest elected office in Glynn County to the fullest extent as Sheriff Wayne V. Bennett has done over his period of leadership. In our community, I must continue to manage the budget of the Glynn County Sheriff's Office in a reasonable no non sense manner. I will answer to the Glynn County Commission and the citizens that elect me to this esteemed office.
Experience
I have been in law enforcement since 1975, spending 33 plus years with the Georgia State Patrol and the last 4 years have been with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office. I rose through the ranks of the Georgia State Patrol, from radio operator to Post Commander. My experience and leadership with the Georgia State Patrol have continued to benefit me as Daily Operations Major with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office. I have experience and knowledge of patrolling the highways of Glynn County and the State of Georgia. I have arrested and placed offenders in numerous detention facilities. I have managed personnel and patrol posts, answering to the command staff of the Georgia State Patrol.
Agency Cooperation
I believe that communications is the key to success for the law enforcement agencies of Glynn County. I believe communicating with the Brunswick Police Department, Glynn County Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, Department of Natural Resources, Glynn County School Resource and the Glynn County Sheriff's Office in our community we have invaluable information that can be shared to assist the public with needs, shared information for arrests of criminal activity, working with the department leaders and commissioners. My desire is for Glynn County to continue to move forward in a positive, citizen centered manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of our members are great in number and I will continue the standards established by years of traditions and training. The Glynn County Sheriff's Office is well established in their duties of judge protection, prisoner security, and maintaining a high standard for our deputies and detention officers. In our time, sex offenders are a high priority to me and the citizens of Glynn County, I believe that this duty is a paramount and the standard set by our department is highly regarded throughout the state.
